In the 2022 election cycle, Vote.org saw more than 12 million visitors. The organization helped register more than 725,000 voters. In 2022, it reached voters nearly 270 million times using a variety of research-backed tactics, including sending 40 million unique messages to voters.

Importantly, preliminary results for Vote.org’s radio program show that it had a positive impact and motivated at least 200,000 voters who would not have otherwise voted.

“At Vote.org, we have one goal: to increase voting behavior,” said Andrea Hailey, CEO of Vote.org. “We do this with cutting-edge voter tools, through direct voter outreach, by amplifying our tools and outreach with partners and influencers, by providing election and polling information to users and by directly educating voters about election laws that may affect their right to vote. And, sometimes, we challenge those laws in court.

“For four federal election cycles, we have been on the front lines doing the work, reaching voters in every possible way. In that time, we’ve grown massively to meet the demand for our work from voters across the country,” Hailey continued. “We scaled up this quickly because voters demanded tools and services like ours. And, because of the clear need to invest in the future of democracy and protecting access to the ballot box for all voters. Vote.org is powered by voters, organizations, companies and supporters who understand that our democracy is worth fighting for.”

In 2022, Vote.org reached nearly 1 million students through its GOTV program, including on 45 different college campuses. Vote.org saw 12 million visits, and of the data available, 43.85% were from users under 35. In many competitive states where Vote.org heavily invested, the aggregate youth vote was higher than the national average. Vote.org reached younger people and younger people were important in competitive elections.

In addition to its youth outreach programs, Vote.org reached voters in research-backed and innovative ways, including by running the largest radio program and randomized controlled trial of its kind. Its radio program had over 140 million impressions on radio, reaching more than 11 million unique voters in 25 states.

Vote.org also reaches voters through innovative partnerships, such as those with the NAACP, OkCupid, WikiHow and Pinterest.

“Democracy-building work doesn’t just take place every two years, or every four years,”Hailey added. “Building a healthy democracy requires constant care, attention and support. That’s where we come in. Vote.org is uniquely positioned to reach the most voters, partner with the most influential organizations and companies in the country, run the most comprehensive and research-backed GOTV operation and help voters navigate the voting landscape. We can do all of this because we already have. But we can do it bigger, better and bolder. I hope you’ll join us in this work.”
